Without Electric Parking Brake

Disconnect the negative battery cable. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY CABLE DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION .)
Open the console lid.
Remove the button, then open the fastener.

Pull the upper panel in the order of the arrows (1), (2), and (3) as shown in the figure and remove it while detaching the clips A, hooks, and clips B.

Disconnect the commander switch connector (with commander switch).
NOTE:
- When replacing the upper panel, remove the commander switch (with commander switch). (See COMMANDER SWITCH REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
