Without Electric Parking Brake

  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY CABLE DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION .)
  2. Remove the following parts:
    1. Upper panel (See UPPER PANEL REMOVAL .) (See UPPER PANEL INSTALLATION .)
    2. Selector lever knob (ATX) (See AUTOMATIC TRANSAXLE SHIFT MECHANISM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
    3. Shift lever knob (MTX) (See MANUAL TRANSAXLE SHIFT MECHANISM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [C66M-R] .)
    4. Shift panel (See SHIFT PANEL REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
  3. Insert a remover tool in the position indicated by the arrow in the figure and detach the clip.

  4. Insert a remover tool in the position indicated by the arrow in the figure and detach the clip.

  5. Remove the front console box in the direction of the arrow shown in the figure while detaching the guides.

  6. Install in the reverse order of removal.
