Air Mix Actuator Inspection (Auto A/C): Passenger-side

- Disconnect the negative battery cable. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY CABLE DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION [SKYACTIV-G 2.0, SKYACTIV-G 2.5] .)
- Remove the following parts:
- Glove compartment (See GLOVE COMPARTMENT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Dashboard under cover (See DASHBOARD UNDER COVER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Side wall (passenger-side) (See SIDE WALL REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Front heat duct (passenger-side) (See FRONT HEAT DUCT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Remove the passenger-side air mix actuator. (See AIR MIX ACTUATOR REMOVAL/INSTALLATION (AUTO A/C) .)
- Apply battery positive voltage and connect the ground to the air mix actuator terminals as indicated in the table below and verify the operation condition.
- If not as indicated in the table, replace the air mix actuator. (See AIR MIX ACTUATOR REMOVAL/INSTALLATION (AUTO A/C) .)
B+ Terminal Ground Terminal Operation B C HOT → COLD C B COLD → HOT - Verify that the resistance between terminals F and G, E and F matches the air mix actuator operation as shown in the graph.
- If the operation condition and resistance are not normal, replace the air mix actuator. (See AIR MIX ACTUATOR REMOVAL/INSTALLATION (AUTO A/C) .)
