NOTE:

When removing the high-mount brake light, the procedure can be facilitated by folding down the rear seat.

Disconnect the negative battery cable. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY CABLE DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION .)
Insert the remover tool in the gap between the high-mount brake light cover and the rear package trim.

While pressing the hook of the high-mount brake light cover in the direction of arrow (1) shown in the figure, lift up the high-mount brake light cover in the direction of arrow (2) shown in the figure and pull out the hook from the rear package trim.

Pull out the guide of the high-mount brake light cover from the rear package trim.

Disconnect the connector.

Lift up the high-mount brake light in the direction of the arrows shown in the figure and disconnect the tabs of the high-mount brake light cover from the high-mount brake light.

Remove the high-mount brake light.
Install in the reverse order of removal.
