Rear Parking Brake Cable Removal/Installation: Notes

- Disconnect the negative battery cable. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY CABLE DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION [SKYACTIV-G 2.0, SKYACTIV-G 2.5] .)
- Remove the wheel and tire. (See WHEEL AND TIRE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Remove the upper panel. (See UPPER PANEL REMOVAL .) (See UPPER PANEL INSTALLATION .)
- Loosen the adjusting nut.
- Remove the rear parking brake cable from the front parking brake cable. (See FRONT PARKING BRAKE CABLE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Remove the floor under cover No. 1. (See FLOOR UNDER COVER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Remove the insulator (middle) installation nuts and the fasteners. (See EXHAUST SYSTEM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [SKYACTIV-G 2.0, SKYACTIV-G 2.5] .)
- Set the insulator out of the way.
- Remove in the order indicated in the table.
- Install in the reverse order of removal.
- After installation, inspect the parking brake lever stroke. (See PARKING BRAKE LEVER INSPECTION .)
