Parking Brake Lever Adjustment

  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY CABLE DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION [SKYACTIV-G 2.0, SKYACTIV-G 2.5] .)
  2. Pump the brake pedal a few times.
  3. Disconnect the upper panel from the rear console. (See UPPER PANEL REMOVAL .) (See UPPER PANEL INSTALLATION .)
  4. Turn the adjusting nut and adjust the parking brake lever. (See PARKING BRAKE LEVER INSPECTION .)

  5. After adjustment, pull the parking brake lever one notch and verify that the parking brake warning light illuminates.
  6. Release the parking brake.
  7. Verily that the rear brakes do not drag.
