Diagnostic procedure

STEP INSPECTION ACTION
1 VERIFY THE TIRE 
  • Verify that the currently equipped tire type (size, supplier, and type) conform to the Mazda recommendation.

    (See WHEEL AND TIRE SPECIFICATION .)

  • Is the tire type as specified?
Yes Go to the next step.
No Replace the tire, then go to Step 3.

2 MEASURE THE TIRE PRESSURE  Yes Go to the next step.
No Adjust the tire pressure to the specification when the tires are cold, then go to the next step.

3 INITIALIZE THE TPMS  Yes Go to the next step.
No Repeat the inspection from Step 1.
If the malfunction recurs, replace the DSC HU/Control Module, then go to the next step.

4 VERIFY THAT THE SAME DTC IS NOT PRESENT  Yes Repeat the inspection from Step 1.
If the malfunction recurs, replace the DSC HU/Control Module, then go to the next step.

No Go to the next step.
5 VERIFY THAT NO OTHER DTCS ARE PRESENT 
  • Are any other DTCs output?
Yes Go to the applicable DTC inspection.
(See ON-BOARD DIAGNOSIS [DYNAMIC STABILITY CONTROL (DSC)] .)
No DTC troubleshooting completed.
