Diagnostic procedure

STEP INSPECTION ACTION
1 VERIFY WHETHER MALFUNCTION IS PAST OR PRESENT 
  • Switch the ignition ON (engine off or on).
  • Are the TCS/DSC indicator light and the master warning light(1) illuminated?
Yes Perform DTC inspection and go to the applicable DTC troubleshooting procedure.

After completing the applicable DTC troubleshooting, go to the next step.
No Clear the DTC from the memory and go to the Step 3.

2 PERFORM EPS CONTROL MODULE DTC INSPECTION  Yes Go to the applicable DTC inspection.

No Go to the next step.
3 VERIFY THAT THE SAME DTC IS NOT PRESENT  Yes Repeat the inspection from Step 1.
If the malfunction recurs, replace the DSC HU/Control Module, then go to the next step.

No Go to the next step.
4 VERIFY THAT NO OTHER DTCS ARE PRESENT 
  • Are any other DTCs output?
Yes Go to the applicable DTC inspection.

No DTC troubleshooting completed.
