DTC C1128-2A; Electric Parking Brake Switch Circuit Malfunction: Notes

DETECTION CONDITION & POSSIBLE CAUSE

Description Electric parking brake switch circuit malfunction
Detection
  • Electric parking brake control module detects that the signal in the electric parking condition brake switch circuit is stuck.
Fail-safe
  • When the ignition is switched off, the electric parking brake control module operates the electric parking brake.
possible cause
CAUTION:
  • When the electric parking brake switch is continuously pulled up/pressed down for a long period, DTCs may be detected. Therefore, always verify that DTCs being detected are due to how the customer has operated the switch.
  • Electric parking brake switch malfunction
    • Electric parking brake switch is mechanically stuck
  • Electric parking brake control module malfunction
