DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURE

STEP	INSPECTION		ACTION
1	RECORD THE CAR CONFIGURATION DATA Switch the ignition to off. Switch the ignition ON (engine off) and wait for 10 s or more. Switch the ignition to off and wait for 3 s or more. Switch the ignition ON (engine off) and wait for 3 s or more.		Go to the next step.
2	VERIFY THAT THE SAME DTC IS NOT PRESENT Clear the DTCs from the memory. (See CLEARING DTC [DYNAMIC STABILITY CONTROL (DSC)] .) Are the same DTCs present?	Yes	Repeat the inspection from Step 1. If the malfunction recurs, go to the next step.
2		No	Go to Step 6.
3	VERIFY IF PARTS FROM ANOTHER VEHICLE INSTALLED TO INSTRUMENT CLUSTER, PCM OR DSC HU/CM Verify if an instrument cluster, PCM or DSC HU/CM from another vehicle is installed. Has an instrument cluster, PCM, DSC HU/CM or other vehicle part been installed to vehicle?	Yes	Install the correct instrument cluster, PCM or DSC HU/CM, then go to Step 1. (See INSTRUMENT CLUSTER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .) (See PCM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [SKYACTIV-G 2.0, SKYACTIV-G 2.5] .) (See DSC HU/CM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
3		No	Go to the next step.
4	INSPECT FOR INSTRUMENT CLUSTER/PCM MALFUNCTION Switch the ignition to off. Using the M-MDS, perform the DTC inspection for the instrument cluster and PCM. (See DTC INSPECTION [INSTRUMENT CLUSTER] .) (See ON-BOARD DIAGNOSTIC TEST [PCM (SKYACTIV-G 2.0, SKYACTIV-G 2.5)] .) Are any DTCs detected?	Yes	Go to applicable DTC inspection. (See DTC TABLE [INSTRUMENT CLUSTER] .) (See DTC TABLE [PCM (SKYACTIV-G 2.0, SKYACTIV-G 2.5)] .)
4		No	Go to the next step.
5	VERIFY THAT THE SAME DTC IS NOT PRESENT Clear the DTCs from the memory. (See CLEARING DTC [DYNAMIC STABILITY CONTROL (DSC)] .) Are the same DTCs present?	Yes	Repeat the inspection from Step 1.
5		No	Go to the next step.
6	VERIFY THAT NO OTHER DTCS ARE PRESENT Are any other DTCs output?	Yes	Go to the applicable DTC inspection. (See DTC TABLE [DYNAMIC STABILITY CONTROL (DSC)] .)
6		No	DTC troubleshooting completed.
