Rear Spoiler Removal/Installation

Used place: Rear spoiler
WARNING:
- Always wear gloves when using a utility knife. Using a utility knife with bare hands can cause injury.
- Disconnect the negative battery cable. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION .)
- Remove the liftgate upper trim. (See LIFTGATE UPPER TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Remove caps.
- Remove the nuts.
- Disconnect the high-mount brake light connector.
- Move the wiring harness and remove it from the clip.
- Attach a piece of wire between the liftgate striker and liftgate latch to hold the liftgate in the half-opened position as shown below.
- Remove the double-sided adhesive tape in the position shown in the figure using the utility knife.
- Disengage the clips using the remover tool.
- Perform the same procedure from Steps 8 and 9 for the opposite side of the vehicle.CAUTION:
- When removing the rear spoiler, the rear spoiler may fall and be damaged. Perform the rear spoiler clip removal using two people.
- Pull the rear spoiler in the direction of the arrows shown in the figure and remove it while detaching clips.
- Install in the reverse order of removal.
