Power Liftgate (PLG) Drive Unit Inspection: LH

1. Disconnect the negative battery terminal. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION .)
2. Remove the following parts:
   1. Trunk board (See TRUNK BOARD REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
   2. Bass box (With Bose ®) (See BASS-BOX REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
   3. Sub-trunk (See SUB-TRUNK REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
   4. Trunk end trim (See TRUNK END TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
   5. Rear scuff plate (See REAR SCUFF PLATE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
   6. Trunk side trim (See TRUNK SIDE TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
   7. C-pillar trim (See C-PILLAR TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
   8. Assist handle (rear) (See ASSIST HANDLE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
   9. Power liftgate (PLG) drive unit (See POWER LIFTGATE (PLG) DRIVE UNIT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
3. Apply battery positive voltage and connect the ground to power liftgate (PLG) drive unit terminals G and H, and then inspect the front power window motor operation.

• If the power liftgate (PLG) drive unit does not operate as indicated in the table, replace it. (See POWER LIFTGATE (PLG) DRIVE UNIT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
