U.S.A. and Puerto Rico

CAUTION:
  • Do not select "Flexible" under the following driving conditions.
    • The vehicle is used as a police car, taxi, or for driving instruction.
    • The vehicle is driven under dusty conditions.
    • The vehicle is idled or driven at low speeds for extended periods.
  1. Switch the ignition ON (engine off or on).
  2. Select [Applications] on the center display.
  3. Select [Vehicle Status Monitor] on the center display.
  4. Select [Schedule Maintenance] on the center display.
  5. Select [Oil Change] on the center display.
  6. Select the following items and change the setting.
    Display of center display Function Initial setting Setting contents Control unit
    Setting Interval Display (Fixed, Flexible)/non-display of the oil inspection/replacement can be set. Off Off/Fixed/Flexible (1) Connectivity master unit
    Distance (2) Distance to display of oil inspection/replacement can be set. 8, 000 km/5, 000 miles 1000-99500 km (500-99750 miles) Connectivity master unit
    Oil Life (3) Oil life to oil inspection/replacement can be displayed. 12, 000 km/7, 500 miles - Connectivity master unit
    Reset Maintenance monitor setting can be reset to the initial value. Back Back/Reset Connectivity master unit
    (1) When "Flexible" is selected, the engine oil deterioration condition is calculated based on the frequency of engine starts and the distance travelled. Because the engine oil deterioration condition cannot be calculated correctly if engine oil other than Mazda genuine oil (5W-30) or Castrol oil (5W-30) is used, use Mazda genuine oil (5W-30) or Castrol oil (5W-30) when selecting "Flexible".
