DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURE

Step	Inspection		Action
1	VERIFY START STOP UNIT DTCs Retrieve the start stop unit DTCs using the M-MDS. (See DTC INSPECTION [START STOP UNIT] .) Are any DTCs displayed?	Yes	Repair or replace the malfunctioning part according to the applicable DTC troubleshooting. (See DTC TABLE [START STOP UNIT] .)
1		No	Go to the next step.
2	INSPECT CRUISE CONTROL SWITCH Inspect the cruise control switch. (See CRUISE CONTROL SWITCH INSPECTION [SKYACTIV-G 2.0, SKYACTIV-G 2.5] .) Is the cruise control switch normal?	Yes	Go to the next step.
2		No	Replace the cruise control switch, then go to Step 4. (See STEERING SWITCH REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
3	VERIFY IF MALFUNCTIONING LOCATION IS START STOP UNIT DEPENDING ON REPEATABILITY Clear the DTC for the radar unit using the M-MDS. (See CLEARING DTC [RADAR UNIT] .) Switch the ignition ON (engine on) and wait for 10 min or more. Retrieve the radar unit DTCs using the M-MDS. (See DTC INSPECTION [RADAR UNIT] .) Is the same DTC displayed?	Yes	Replace the start stop unit, then go to the next step. (See START STOP UNIT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
3		No	Go to the next step.
4	VERIFY THAT REPAIRS HAVE BEEN COMPLETED Clear the DTC for the radar unit using the M-MDS. (See CLEARING DTC [RADAR UNIT] .) Switch the ignition ON (engine on) and wait for 10 min or more. Retrieve the radar unit DTCs using the M-MDS. (See DTC INSPECTION [RADAR UNIT] .) Is the same DTC displayed?	Yes	Replace the radar unit, then go to the next step. (See RADAR UNIT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
4		No	Go to the next step.
5	VERIFY IF OTHER DTCs DISPLAYED Are any other DTCs displayed?	Yes	Repair or replace the malfunctioning part according to the applicable DTC troubleshooting. (See DTC TABLE [RADAR UNIT] .)
5		No	DTC troubleshooting completed.
