DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURE

Step	Inspection		Action
1	VERIFY MUSIC FILES IN iPod Is there any playable music file in the iPod?	Yes	Go to the next step.
1		No	System is normal. (No playable file in USB device/iPod) Go to Step 3.
2	INSPECT iPod Connect the iPod to a same-model vehicle (model/unit). Is the iPod connection detected/unit plays back?	Yes	Go to the next step.
2		No	System is normal. (iPod malfunction or incompatible USB device.) Go to the next step.
3	VERIFY THAT REPAIRS HAVE BEEN COMPLETED Clear the audio unit DTCs. (See CLEARING DTC [AUDIO UNIT] .) Perform the audio unit DTC inspection. (See DTC INSPECTION [AUDIO UNIT] .) Is the same DTC displayed?	Yes	Repeat the inspection from Step 1. If the malfunction recurs, replace the audio unit. (See AUDIO UNIT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .) Go to the next step.
3		No	Go to the next step.
4	VERIFY IF OTHER DTCs DISPLAYED Are any other DTCs displayed?	Yes	Repair the malfunctioning part according to the applicable DTC troubleshooting. (See DTC TABLE [AUDIO UNIT] .)
4		No	DTC troubleshooting completed.
