Dynamic Pressure Turbo Removal/Installation

  1. Drain the engine coolant. (Refer to ENGINE COOLANT REPLACEMENT .)
  2. Disconnect the negative battery terminal. (Refer to NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION .)
  3. Remove the plug hole plate. (Refer to PLUG HOLE PLATE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
  4. Remove the air cleaner, air hose and fresh air duct as a single unit. (Refer to INTAKE-AIR SYSTEM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
  5. Remove the battery and battery tray. (Refer to BATTERY REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
  6. Remove the air inlet pipe. (Refer to INTAKE-AIR SYSTEM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
  7. Set the turbocharger air inlet hose aside. (U.S.A. and CANADA) (Refer to INTAKE-AIR SYSTEM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
  8. Remove the turbocharger air inlet hose. (except U.S.A. and CANADA) (Refer to INTAKE-AIR SYSTEM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
  9. Remove the turbocharger air outlet pipe installation nuts and set the turbocharger air outlet pipe aside. (Refer to INTAKE-AIR SYSTEM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
  10. Disconnect the water hose (dynamic pressure turbo side) shown in the figure.

  11. Disconnect the vacuum hose (engine side) shown in the figure.

  12. Remove the evaporative hoses shown in the figure.

  13. Disconnect the connectors and clips shown in the figure.

  14. Remove the front crossmember component. (Refer to FRONT CROSSMEMBER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
  15. Remove the WU-TWC. (Refer to EXHAUST SYSTEM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
  16. Remove the oil pipe protector. (Refer to OIL COOLER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
  17. Disconnect the vacuum hose (exhaust manifold variable valve actuator side) shown in the figure.

  18. Remove in the order indicated in the table.

    2 Water hose No. 1
    3 Oil pipe component
    4 Oil pipe No. 1
    5 Insulator No. 1
    6 Dynamic pressure turbo
    7 Air bypass valve connector
    8 Wastegate valve actuator connector
    9 Insulator No. 2
    10 Vacuum hose No. 1
    11 Vacuum hose No. 2
    12 Vacuum pipe
    13 Water pipe No. 1
    14 Insulator No. 2
    15 Air hose
    16 Bracket
    17 Water pipe No. 2
    18 Insulator No. 3
    19 Oil pipe No. 3
    20 Oil hose
    21 Oil pipe No. 2
  19. Install in the reverse order of removal.
