On-Vehicle Inspection

Apply the parking brake firmly, and set the wheel blocks for both the front and rear wheels.
Disconnect the TR switch connector.
1. Remove the battery cover. (See BATTERY REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [MZR 2.5] .)
2. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
3. Remove the air cleaner component. (See INTAKE-AIR SYSTEM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
4. Disconnect the TR switch connector.

Measure the resistance and continuity between the TR switch terminals.

- If there is any malfunction, adjust the TR switch. (See TRANSAXLE RANGE (TR) SWITCH ADJUSTMENT .)
- If a malfunction occurs after performing adjustments, replace the TR switch. (See TRANSAXLE RANGE (TR) SWITCH REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
