Operation inspection

CAUTION:
  • Do not apply voltage to a solenoid valve for 3 s or more to prevent damaging it.
NOTE:
  • Perform the inspection in a quiet place because the operation sound of solenoid valve may be difficult to hear.
  1. Disconnect the coupler component connector.
    1. Remove the battery cover. (See BATTERY REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [MZR 2.5] .)
    2. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
    3. Remove the air cleaner component. (See INTAKE-AIR SYSTEM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
    4. Disconnect the coupler component connector.

  2. Apply battery voltage between the GND and each terminal of A, B, C, F, and G, and terminals D and I, and verify the solenoid valve operation sound.

    • If the operation sound cannot be verified, inspect the coupler component continuity.
    • If there is any malfunction in the coupler component, inspect the solenoid valves individually. (See PART INSPECTION .)
