ATF Condition Inspection
- Pull out the dipstick.
- Verify that the ATF color is a clear, red color.
- If the ATF color is not a clear, red color, verify the malfunction symptom from the following table:
ATF color Possible cause Light red Water penetration Discolored to red brown ATF deterioration Discolored to blackish color Powertrain part (clutch) malfunction
