Diagnostic Procedure

STEP INSPECTION ACTION
1 INSPECT FOR BCM MALFUNCTION 
  • Using the M-MDS, perform the DTC inspection for the BCM.

    (See DTC INSPECTION [BCM] .)

  • Are any DTCs detected?
Yes Go to applicable DTC inspection.
(See DTC TABLE [BCM] .)
DTC troubleshooting completed, then go to the next step.
No Go to the next step.
2 VERIFY THAT SAME DTC IS NOT PRESENT  Yes Repeat the inspection from Step 1.
If the malfunction recurs, replace the electric power steering oil pump component.
(See ELECTRIC POWER STEERING OIL PUMP COMPONENT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
No Go to the next step.
3 VERIFY THAT NO OTHER DTCs ARE PRESENT  Yes Go to the applicable DTC inspection.
(See ELECTRO HYDRAULIC POWER ASSIST STEERING (EHPAS) ON-BOARD DIAGNOSIS .)
No DTC troubleshooting completed.
