- Controlled motor speed is decreased to 391 rpm per s until it is set at 0 rpm, and control is disabled.
- Power steering malfunction indicator light: Illuminated

| POSSIBLE CAUSE |
- Battery and/or generator malfunction
- EHPAS 80A fuse malfunction
- Open or short circuit in wiring harness between EHPAS CM terminal 1B and battery
- Open or short circuit in wiring harness between EHPAS CM terminal 1A and body ground
