Adjusting Generator Drive Belt

NOTE:
Letters in parenthesis refer to letters in figures.
- Remove the engine cover.
- Loosen generator installation bolt (A) and lock nut (B). See Fig 1
.
- Adjust the drive belt deflection and tension by turning adjusting bolt (C) to the specification. See BELT DEFLECTION SPECIFICATIONS
or BELT TENSION SPECIFICATION
table. See Figure
.
- Tighten generator installation bolt (A) and lock nut (B) to the specified torque. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS
.
- Crank the engine and measure the deflection and tension again. If not within the specification, repeat step 2
again.
