HALFSHAFT (Front): Installation

  1. Position the front wheel halfshaft and joint so the splines line up with the differential side gear splines. Push the front wheel halfshaft and joint into the differential side gear.
    NOTE: When seated correctly, the halfshaft bearing retainer circlip can be felt as it snaps into the differential side gear groove. See Fig 1 .
  2. Using the Front Hub Replacer (205-D069), position the halfshaft into the front wheel knuckle. See Fig 2 .
  3. Install the lower control arm and the ball joint pinch bolt and nut. See Figure .
  4. Install the clip. See Figure .
  5. Install a new front axle wheel hub nut. See Figure . Tighten all fasteners to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS  .
  6. Install the front wheels and tires. Tighten all fasteners to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS  .
  7. Check and refill the transaxle fluid, if necessary.
