Disassembly & Reassembly

NOTE: Removal is not necessary to disassemble, hone or overhaul the wheel cylinder.

Remove dust boots. See Fig 1 . Remove pistons. Remove piston cups and spring. Inspect cylinder bore for scoring, nicks and corrosion. Replace wheel cylinder if necessary. Coat all wheel cylinder parts with the appropriate brake fluid. Assemble in reverse order of disassembly. Bleed brake system. See BLEEDING BRAKE SYSTEM  .
