DTC 27: Operation Signal To Interior Light

Turn interior light switch to DOOR position. Wait 2 seconds after selecting DTC 27. If interior light turns on and off 3 times, interior light is okay. If interior light does not illuminate as described, remove instrument cluster. See INSTRUMENT CLUSTER under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. Using a DVOM, measure voltage between ground and instrument cluster connector No. 1, terminal 1H. See Figure . If battery voltage is present, replace instrument cluster. See INSTRUMENT CLUSTER under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. If battery voltage is not present, check interior light and wiring harness. See WIRING DIAGRAMS . Repair or replace as necessary. Retest system.
