Detection Condition
WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2003 Mazda Tribute. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
- DTC P1461 indicates ACP input voltage to PCM is more than the calibrated level.
- DTC P1462 indicates ACP input voltage to PCM is more than the calibrated level.
- DTC P1463 indicates change in refrigerant pressure is outside the calibrated specification.
ACP monitors A/C system pressures and sends a signal to the PCM. If the ACP signal voltage to the PCM is more than the calibrated level, PCM will set DTC P1461. If the ACP signal voltage to the PCM is less than the calibrated level, the PCM will set DTC P1462. Each time the A/C clutch engages, the PCM is looking for a pressure change in the refrigerant. If the change in pressure is outside the calibration, PCM will set DTC P1463.
