Detection Condition

- DTC P0133 indicates frequency and amplitude response rate of upstream HO2S (front Bank 1 on 3.0L or front on 2.0L) is less than calibrated window on Bank 1.
- DTC P0138 indicates frequency and amplitude response rate of upstream HO2S (front Bank 1 on 3.0L or front on 2.0L) is less than calibrated window on Bank 1.
- DTC P0152 indicates frequency and amplitude response rate of upstream HO2S (front left on 3.0L) is less than calibrated window on Bank 2.
- DTC P0153 indicates frequency and amplitude response rate of upstream HO2S (front left on 3.0L) is less than calibrated window on Bank 2.
Detects the presence of oxygen in the exhaust and produces a variable voltage (0.0-1.1 volts) according to the amount of oxygen detected. A high concentration of oxygen (lean air/fuel ratio) in exhaust, produces a low voltage signal (less than 0.4 volt). A low concentration of oxygen (rich air/fuel ratio) in exhaust, produces a high voltage signal (more than 0.6 volt). Provides feedback to PCM indicating air/fuel ratio in order to achieve a near stoichiometric air/fuel ratio of 14.7:1 during closed loop engine operation.
