Possible Causes

CHT sensor concerns (DTC P1285).
Damaged CHT sensor (DTCs P1285, P1288, P1289 or P1290).
Damaged ECT sensor (DTCs P0117, P0118, P1116 or P1117).
Damaged harness (DTCs P1112 or P1117).
Damaged harness connector (DTCs P1112, P1116, P1117 or P1288).
Damaged MAF/IAT sensor (DTCs P0112, P0113 or P1112).
Damaged PCM (DTCs P0112, P0113, P0117, P0118, P1112, P1116, P1117, P1288, P1289 or P1290).
Engine cooling concerns (DTCs P1285 or P1299).
Grounded circuit in CHT harness (DTCs P1289 or P1290).
Grounded circuit in harness (DTCs P0112 or P0117).
Improper harness connection (DTCs P0112, P0113, P0117, P0118, P1289 or P1290).
Insufficient warm-up time (DTCs P0125 or P0128).
Leaky or stuck open thermostat (DTCs P0125 or P0128).
Low engine coolant level (DTCs P0125, P0128, P1116, P1117, P1285, P1288 or P1299).
Open circuit in CHT harness (DTCs P1289 or P1290).
Open in ECT harness (DTC P0118).
Open in MAF/IAT harness (DTC P0113).
Overheating condition (DTC P1116).
Poor thermostat operation (DTC P1116).
Short to power (DTCs P0113 or P0118).
