Removal & Installation (Mazda6 2.3L)

  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
  2. Remove the plug hole plate. Lift off and remove the plug hole plate from the installation areas (rubber and clips) as shown in the illustration. See Fig 1.
  3. CAUTION: The high-tension leads must be reinstalled to their original positions. Incorrect installation can damage the leads and cause power loss, and negatively affect the electronic components.
  4. Remove in the order indicated in the illustration. See Fig 2. To install, reverse removal procedure.
