Removal & Installation (B4000)

WARNING: This page does not describe the selected car, but rather 9 other vehicles, including the 2003 Mazda Tribute, 2003 Mazda Protege5, 2003 Mazda Protege, 2003 Mazda MX-5 Miata, and 2003 Mazda MPV. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

Disconnect the battery ground cable.
Remove the accelerator control splash shield. See Fig 1.
Disconnect the Mass Air Flow (MAF) harness connector. See Figure.
Disconnect the electrical harness push-pins and the crankcase ventilation tube. See Fig 2.
Loosen the hose clamps and remove the air cleaner outlet pipe. See Fig 3.
To install, reverse removal procedure.
