Removal & Installation (B2300)

WARNING: This page does not describe the selected car, but rather 9 other vehicles, including the 2003 Mazda Tribute, 2003 Mazda Protege5, 2003 Mazda Protege, 2003 Mazda MX-5 Miata, and 2003 Mazda MPV. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

Disconnect the negative battery cable.
Remove the accelerator control splash shield. See Fig 1.
Disconnect Mass Airflow (MAF) harness connector. See Fig 2.
Disconnect the electrical harness push pins and the crankcase ventilation tube. See Fig 3.
Loosen the hose clamps, remove the bolt and remove the air cleaner outlet pipe. See Figure.
To install, reverse the removal procedure. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
