Ignition Coil Operation Inspection - Miata, Protege & Protege5

NOTE: Use known good spark plugs and high-tension leads to test coils.
NOTE: Cylinders No. 1 and 2 and No. 3 and 4 are fired simultaneously.
  1. Remove ignition coils, spark plugs and high-tension leads. Connect all components as shown in Fig 1.
  2. Ensure spark plug produces a strong, Bluish spark when turning switch from off to on.
