Fuel Evaporative System (MAZDA6, MIATA & MPV)

Fuel Evaporative (EVAP) system prevents escape of raw fuel vapor to atmosphere. System components may include the fuel tank with integral vapor separator, fuel shut-0ff valve, purge solenoid valve, charcoal canister, rollover valve(s), Fuel Tank Pressure (FTP) sensor, catch tank, fuel filler cap and connecting lines. A leak detection pump is used to pressurize the emission system. PCM monitors pump load current to accurately detect clogging or leakage in the emission system. If a fault is detected, PCM will turn on the Malfunction Indicator Light (MIL). The Canister Drain Cut Valve (CDCV) is eliminated.
