Passenger Air Bag Deactivation (Pad) Switch Inspection

Disconnect the negative battery cable.
Remove the center panel. (See CENTER PANEL REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
Confirm that the PAD switch warning light bulb and the PAD switch illumination bulb are okay.
- If the bulbs go out, replace them with new ones.
Inspect for continuity between PAD switch terminals using an ohmmeter.
- If not as specified, replace the PAD switch.
