SHIFT POINT IS HIGH OR LOW - DESCRIPTION & POSSIBLE CAUSE

11	Shift point is high or low
DESCRIPTION	Shift point considerably different from automatic shift diagram. Shifts delayed when accelerating. Shift occurs quickly when accelerating and engine speed does not increase.
POSSIBLE CAUSE	If the transmission does not shift normally, there is a malfunction of the input signal to the throttle position sensor, input/turbine speed sensor, or output speed sensor. If the engine speed is high or low regardless that shifting is normal, inspect the tachometer. Verify that the output signal of the throttle position sensor changes linearly. NOTE: Before following the troubleshooting steps, make sure that the on-board diagnosis and basic inspection have been conducted.

POSSIBLE CAUSE

If the malfunction remains, inspect related Service Bulletins and/or On-line Repair Information and perform repair or diagnosis.
- If vehicle is repaired, troubleshooting completed.
- If vehicle is hot repaired or additional diagnostic information is not available, replace TCM.
