Diagnostic procedure

DTC P0507 [BP, BP WITH TC] DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURE

STEP	INSPECTION		ACTION
1	VERIFY FREEZE FRAME DATA HAS BEEN RECORDED Has FREEZE FRAME DATA been recorded?	Yes	Go to the next step.
1		No	Record FREEZE FRAME DATA on repair order, then go to the next step.
2	VERIFY RELATED REPAIR INFORMATION AVAILABILITY Check for related Service Bulletins and/or online repair information availability. Is any related repair information available?	Yes	Perform repair or diagnostic according to the available repair information. If the vehicle is not repaired, go to the next step.
2		No	Go to the next step.
3	VERIFY RELATED PENDING CODE OR STORED DTCS Turn ignition key to OFF, then ON (Engine off). Verify pending code or stored DTCs using the WDS or equivalent. Is other DTC present?	Yes	Repair applicable DTCs. (See DTC TABLE )
3		No	Go to the next step.
4	INSPECT IAC VALVE MALFUNCTION Inspect IAC valve. (See IDLE AIR CONTROL (IAC) VALVE INSPECTION ) Is it normal?	Yes	Go to the next step.
4		No	Replace IAC valve, then go to Step 9.
5	INSPECT ACCELERATOR CABLE FREE PLAY Turn the ignition switch off. Is accelerator cable free play okay? (See ACCELERATOR CABLE INSPECTION/ADJUSTMENT )	Yes	Go to the next step.
5		No	Adjust accelerator cable free play, then go to Step 9. (See ACCELERATOR CABLE INSPECTION/ADJUSTMENT )
6	INSPECT VACUUM HOSE CONNECTION Are vacuum hoses connecting accurately? (See VACUUM HOSE ROUTING DIAGRAM [BP] ) (See VACUUM HOSE ROUTING DIAGRAM [BP WITH TC] )	Yes	Go to the next step.
6		No	Reconnect vacuum hose accurately, then go to Step 9.
7	VISUAL INSPECT THROTTLE VALVE Remove TB. Is throttle valve fully closed?	Yes	Go to the next step.
7		No	Clean or replace TB, then go to the next step.
8	VERIFY TROUBLESHOOTING OF DTC P0507 COMPLETED Make sure to connect all disconnected connectors. Start the engine. Clear the DTC from the PCM memory using the WDS or equivalent. Depress brake pedal for 14.1 s or more . Is same DTC present?	Yes	Replace PCM, then go to the next step.
8		No	Go to the next step.
9	VERIFY AFTER REPAIR PROCEDURE Perform the "AFTER REPAIR PROCEDURE ". (See AFTER REPAIR PROCEDURE ) Is any DTC present?	Yes	Go to the applicable DTC inspection. (See DTC TABLE )
9		No	Troubleshooting completed.
