Diagnostic procedure

DTC P0132 [BP, BP WITH TC] DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURE

STEP INSPECTION ACTION
1 VERIFY FREEZE FRAME DATA HAS BEEN RECORDED 
  • Has FREEZE FRAME DATA been recorded?
Yes Go to the next step.
No Record FREEZE FRAME DATA on repair order, then go to the next step.
2 VERIFY RELATED REPAIR INFORMATION AVAILABILITY 
  • Check for related Service Bulletins and/or online repair information availability.
  • Is any related repair information available?
Yes Perform repair or diagnosis according to the available repair information.
  • If the vehicle is not repaired, go to the next step.
No Go to the next step.
3 VERIFY CURRENT SIGNAL STATUS: IS CONCERN INTERMITTENT OR CONSTANT? 
  • Connect the WDS or equivalent to the DLC-2.
  • Clear the DTC from the PCM memory using the WDS or equivalent.
  • Run the vehicle under the FREEZE FRAME DATA stored condition.
  • Is the same PENDING CODE for this DTC present?
Yes Go to the next step.
No Intermittent concern exists.
Perform the "INTERMITTENT CONCERNS TROUBLESHOOTING". (See INTERMITTENT CONCERN TROUBLESHOOTING .)
4 VERIFY RELATED PENDING CODE OR STORED DTCS 
  • Turn the ignition switch off, then to the ON position (Engine off).
  • Verify pending code or stored DTCs using the WDS or equivalent.
  • Is other DTC present?
Yes Go to appropriate DTC troubleshooting procedures.

No Go to the next step.
5 IDENTIFY TRIGGER DTC FOR FREEZE FRAME DATA 
  • Is DTC P0132 on FREEZE FRAME DATA?
Yes Go to the next step.
No Go to troubleshooting procedures for DTC on FREEZE FRAME DATA.

6 INSPECT HO2S (FRONT) SIGNAL CIRCUIT FOR SHORT TO POWER SUPPLY CIRCUIT 
  • Turn the ignition switch off.
  • Disconnect HO2S (front) connector.
  • Turn the ignition to the ON position (Engine off).
  • Measure voltage between HO2S (front) terminal A (harness-side) and body ground.
  • Is any voltage reading?
Yes Replace short to power supply, then go to Step 8.
No Go to the next step.
7 VERIFY CURRENT INPUT SIGNAL STATUS 
  • Start engine.
  • Access O2S11 PID using the WDS or equivalent.
  • Verify PID when racing engine at least 10 times  NEUTRAL).
  • Does PID reading stay above 1.2 V  ?
Yes Repair or replace sensor, then go to the next step.
No Go to the next step.
8 VERIFY TROUBLESHOOTING OF DTC P0132 COMPLETED 
  • Make sure to reconnect all disconnected connectors.
  • Turn the ignition switch to the ON position (Engine off).
  • Clear the DTC from the PCM memory using the WDS or equivalent.
  • Run DRIVE MODE 1 and 3.
  • Is PENDING CODE for this DTC present.
Yes Replace PCM, then go to the next step.
No Go to the next step.
9 VERIFY AFTER REPAIR PROCEDURE  Yes Go to the applicable DTC inspection.

No Troubleshooting completed.
