DTC 04 - Door Switch On/Off Signal

DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURE - DTC 04

STEP	INSPECTION	INDICATION	ACTION
1	Open driver-side door. (Door switch on.)	on	Close driver-side door, then go to next step.
1	Open driver-side door. (Door switch on.)	off	Measure voltage at instrument cluster terminal 31. Is voltage 0 V ? If as specified, replace instrument cluster. If not as specified, inspect following parts. Door switch Wiring harness (Instrument cluster - door switch)
2	Open passenger-side door. (Door switch on.)	on	Close passenger-side door, then go to next step.
2	Open passenger-side door. (Door switch on.)	off	Measure voltage at instrument cluster terminal 3K. Is voltage 0 V ? If as specified, replace instrument cluster. If not as specified, inspect following parts. Door switch Wiring harness (Instrument cluster-door switch)
3	Open rear door on driver-side. (Door switch on.)	on	Close rear door on driver-side, then go to next step.
3	Open rear door on driver-side. (Door switch on.)	off	Measure voltage at instrument cluster terminal 3K. Is voltage 0 V ? If as specified, replace instrument cluster. If not as specified, inspect following parts. Door switch Wiring harness (Instrument cluster - door switch)
4	Open rear door on passenger-side. (Door switch on.)	on	Close rear door on passenger-side, then go to next step.
4	Open rear door on passenger-side. (Door switch on.)	off	Measure voltage at instrument cluster terminal 3K. Is voltage 0 V ? If as specified, replace instrument cluster. If not as specified, inspect following parts. Door switch Wiring harness (Instrument cluster - door switch)
5	Open liftgate. (Cargo compartment light switch on.)	on	Close liftgate, then go to next step
5	Open liftgate. (Cargo compartment light switch on.)	off	Measure voltage at instrument cluster terminal 3K. Is voltage 0 V ? If as specified, replace instrument cluster. If not as specified, inspect following parts. Door switch Wiring harness (Instrument cluster - door switch)
6	Close all doors. (Door switch and cargo compartment light switch off.)	on	Measure voltage at instrument cluster terminal 31 and 3K. Is voltage B+ ? If as specified, replace instrument cluster. If not as specified, inspect following parts. Door switch Wiring harness (Instrument cluster - door switch)
6		off	Input signals to instrument cluster are okay.
