Yes |
Replace SAS control module. (See SAS CONTROL MODULE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [STANDARD DEPLOYMENT CONTROL SYSTEM]

Go to the next step. |
| 2 |
INSPECT METER 10 A FUSE
- Turn ignition switch to LOCK position.
- Disconnect negative battery cable.
- Remove METER 10 A fuse.
- Is fuse normal?

Yes |
Reinstall METER 10 A fuse, then go to the next step. |
| No |
Replace METER 10 A fuse. |

INSPECT AIR BAG SYSTEM WARNING LIGHT BULB

Yes |
Reinstall air bag system warning light bulb, then go to the next step. |
| No |
Replace air bag system warning light bulb. |

INSPECT INSTRUMENT CLUSTER
- Is there continuity between instrument cluster terminals 3J and 3R?

Yes |
Go to the next step. |
| No |
Replace instrument cluster. (See INSTRUMENT CLUSTER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION
) |

INSPECT FOR CONTINUITY BETWEEN METER 10 A FUSE AND INSTRUMENT CLUSTER
- Connect negative battery cable.
- Turn ignition switch to ON position.
- Measure voltage at instrument cluster terminal 3J.
- Is voltage more than 9 V
?

Yes |
Go to the next step. |
| No |
Repair wiring harness. |

INSPECT WIRING HARNESS BETWEEN INSTRUMENT CLUSTER AND SAS CONTROL MODULE
WARNING:
- Handling the air bag system components improperly can accidentally deploy the air bag modules and pre-tensioner front buckles, which may seriously injure you. Read the service warnings before handling the air bag system components.

- Turn ignition switch to LOCK position.
- Disconnect negative battery cable and wait for 1 min or more

- Remove column cover.
- Disconnect clock spring connector.
- Remove glove compartment.
- Disconnect passenger-side air bag module connector.
- Disconnect driver- and passenger-side side air bag module connectors. (Vehicles with side air bag)
- Remove driver- and passenger-side B-pillar lower trims.
- Disconnect driver- and passenger-side pre-tensioner seat belt connectors.
- Turn up floor covering.
- Disconnect all SAS control module connectors.
- Inspect wiring harness between instrument cluster terminal 3R and SAS control module terminal 2W for following.
- Short to ground
- Short to power supply
- Open circuit
- Is wiring harness normal?

Go to the next step. |

Replace wiring harness. |

INSPECT WIRING HARNESS BETWEEN DLC AND SAS CONTROL MODULE
- Inspect wiring harness between DLC terminal FAB and SAS control module terminal 2W for following.
- Short to ground
- Short to power supply
- Is wiring harness normal?

Troubleshooting completed. |

Replace wiring harness. |
