NO KICKDOWN - DESCRIPTION AND POSSIBLE CAUSES

13 No kickdown
DESCRIPTION 
  • Does not downshift when accelerator pedal fully depressed within kickdown range.
POSSIBLE CAUSE 
  • If transaxle does not downshift though shifting is normal, malfunction is in TP sensor circuit (including sensor ground, sensor harness and connector).
    NOTE:
    • Before following troubleshooting steps, make sure that Automatic Transaxle On-Board Diagnostic and Automatic Transaxle Basic Inspection are conducted.
