Time Lag Test: Preparation

Check and adjust coolant, engine oil and ATF levels. Warm engine and transaxle to normal operating temperature. Block front and rear wheels on both sides. Set parking brake. Ensure engine idle speed and ignition timing is correct. See ON-VEHICLE ADJUSTMENTS article in ENGINE PERFORMANCE.
