Valve Body Assembly: Reassembly

WARNING: This page does not describe the selected car, but rather 9 other vehicles, including the 2005 Mazda 6, 2005 Mazda 3, 2004 Mazda 6, 2004 Mazda 3, and 2003 Mazda Protege5. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

Install components in reverse order of disassembly. Ensure gaskets are installed in correct location. See Fig 5. Valve body bolts have different letters, or no mark, on its head. Match the bolt letter with the letter stamped next to its installation hole on the valve body. See VALVE BODY BOLT IDENTIFICATION  table. See Fig 6. Hand tighten valve body bolts in sequence. See Fig 1. Tighten all bolts to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
