Resistance Inspection (On-Vehicle Inspection)
WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2005 Mazda 6. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
CAUTION:
- Water or foreign material entering the connector can cause a poor connection or corrosion. Be sure not to allow water or foreign material on the connector when disconnecting.
- Do not damage the terminals.
- Disconnect the negative battery cable.
- Remove the air cleaner component. (See INTAKE AIR SYSTEM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Remove the TCM. (See TCM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Measure the resistance between the following terminals.
- If there is any malfunction, inspect the coupler component.
- If the coupler component is normal, replace the control valve body. (See CONTROL VALVE BODY REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
