Insulation Resistance of Case

  1. Remove the high-tension lead. (L3 (with DEI system)) (See HIGH-TENSION LEAD REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [L3 (with DEI system)] .)
  2. Disconnect the ignition coil connector. (See IGNITION COIL REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
  3. Measure the insulation resistance between the following using an ohmmeter.
    • L3 (with DEI system): Terminal B to ignition coil case
    • L3 (with SEI system): Terminal A to ignition coil case
    • AJ: Terminal A to ignition coil case
      • If not as specified, replace the ignition coil.

    10 megohms or more
