Front Evaporator Removal/Installation

  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
  2. Evacuate the refrigerant from the system. See REFRIGERANT RECOVERY  . See REFRIGERANT CHARGING  .
  3. Disconnect the cooler pipe No.3 from the expansion valve. See FRONT A/C UNIT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION  .
  4. Remove the glove compartment. See GLOVE COMPARTMENT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .
  5. Slide the air duct toward (A) and push it down toward (B) to remove it.

  6. Remove the PCM. See POWERTRAIN CONTROL MODULE .
  7. Remove in the order indicated in the illustration.

  8. Install in the reverse order of removal.
