Wheel Bearing - 4WD: Installation

Using the special tools, install a new wheel bearing into the wheel knuckle.

Install the snap ring into the wheel knuckle.

Using the special tools, install the wheel hub.

Position the wheel knuckle and install the wheel knuckle cam.
1. Position the halfshaft into the wheel hub.

Install the wheel knuckle cam bolt loosely.

Support the wheel knuckle and install the spring.

Install the lower shock absorber nut.

Install the upper ball joint.
1. Install the nut.

Install the lower ball joint.
1. Install the nut.

Tighten the wheel knuckle cam bolt.
1. Align the wheel knuckle cam.
2. Tighten the wheel knuckle cam bolt.

Install the brake line to the wheel cylinder.
1. Install the brake line bracket bolt.

Install the parking brake cable onto the backing plate.
1. Install the bolt.
2. Install the parking brake cable onto the backing plate.
Vehicles with ABS

Position the anti-lock (ABS) brake sensor and bracket bolts.
1. Install the bolts.

NOTE:
- Halfshaft must be clean and free of debris before installing the halfshaft nut.
Install a new halfshaft nut.
Install the brake shoes. Refer to REAR BRAKE DRUM SHOES .
Bleed the brake system. Refer to BLEEDING BRAKE SYSTEM .
Check and adjust the wheel alignment as necessary. Refer to WHEEL ALIGNMENT .
