Remove fuel filler cap to relieve tank pressure. Remove fuel pump relay (disconnect harness connector from fuel pump relay on Miata). See FUEL PUMP RELAY LOCATION table. Start engine. Allow engine to run until it stalls. Turn ignition switch off. Reinstall relay.
