Air Conditioning (A/C) Compressor Shaft Seal: Removal

Remove the disk and hub assembly from the A/C compressor. For additional information, refer to CLUTCH AND CLUTCH FIELD COIL .

Using the special tool, remove the shaft seal felt from the nose of the A/C compressor.
CAUTION:
- To prevent refrigerant system contamination, do not allow dirt or other foreign materials to enter the A/C compressor.
Clean the compressor nose area.

Using the special tool, remove the shaft seal snap ring.

Using the special tool, remove the shaft seal from the A/C compressor.
