Miata, Protege, Protege5 & 626

Disconnect clutch switch connector. Remove clutch switch. Using ohmmeter, check continuity between switch terminals. With clutch rod released, continuity should be present. With clutch rod depressed, continuity should not be present. If continuity is not as specified, replace clutch switch. If continuity is as specified, check for open or short circuit in wire harness. Repair or replace wire harness as necessary.
