Variable Dynamic Effect Intake-Air (VDI) Solenoid Valve Inspection: Notes

- Disconnect the negative battery cable.
- Remove the VDI solenoid valve. (See INTAKE-AIR SYSTEM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Inspect for airflow with the steps in the figure below. See Fig 2
.
- If it is normal, inspect related wiring harnesses.
- If there is any malfunction, replace the VDI solenoid valve. (See INTAKE-AIR SYSTEM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
